My beautiful friend Sheri Fink has tagged me in The Next Big Thing. Some of you have heard of this little game. Some of you know I’ve played along before. But this time is different and it might surprise you. I’m a tad late getting this out. Everyone else was nicely organized and posted together on November 2nd. Here I come bringing in the rear. 😀 I like to keep to a schedule and that pesky Immortal Monday, and now Friday Fictoneers held me back. What can I say. Without further ado…
The Next Big Thing
Tish is a pleasantly pink tooth fairy. Nothing makes her happier than bringing treasures to children for their discarded baby teeth.
What is the working title of your book?
Tish the Tooth Fairy
Where did the idea for the book come from?
The idea came from a story my little Monkey (daughter) shared with me one day after school, based on a special event.
What genre does your book fall under?
Children’s picture book
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
If this were to happen at all it would be an animated short. Actors would provide the voices only.
Tish the Tooth Fairy………. Amy Adams
Mother Fairy……………………. Julia Andrews
A varied cast of boys and girls
When will the book be available?
That’s a good question. The script is finished, but since picture books are a new area to me I have a lot of research to do. I am undecided if I will seek traditional publishing or follow Sheri’s example and self-publish. When time permits, I’ll begin that project.
Will this idea lead to others? Maybe it already has. Where does your inspiration come from?
Since this has gone around and many of my fellow bloggers have already participated I’m not going to tag anyone, but feel free to jump in and participate if you so desire.
Check in the same time next week for a short recap of the SCBWI Writer’s Day
Reminder: this blog will be relocating to a self-hosted site at some point near the end of the year. I hope you’ll follow us to the new digs. My fabulous designer, Laird Sapir, is working her tail off for us. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.
