Poli’ahu, A Hawaiian Deity: Immortal Monday

The word is often used in salutations in Hawaii, as in “hello” or “goodbye.” But the word Aloha actually means affection, peace, compassion and mercy. It really is a beautiful word if you stop and think about it. It has become the state’s nickname, the Aloha state.

I’m unplugged this week. The family and I are off the grid. I am actually having a hard time keeping track of which day of the week it is. And every time I pull my phone out I get evil looks from the family. So while I’m gazing at views such as this…

Immortal Monday will explore a tiny piece of Hawaiian mythology. Enjoy!

I’ll be back next Monday with a new, unique Immortal Monday. My gal pal, Krystal Wade, is celebrating the final installment of her YA fantasy, Wilde’s Meadow. The book launched October 5th. That means you can get grab your copy today from Amazon or Barnes and Noble. To Celebrate Krystal is running the Wilde Moments blog fest this month. She’s asking people to write about their wildest moments. She’ll be picking the winner and awarding a Kindle Fire. Pop on over and get your name in the hat for our chance to win!

There are dreamy guys, girl power, ancient prophecies, a serious big bad and gods. What’s not to like? Check out the blurb~

Armed with hope, confidence in her abilities, and a strange new gift from her mother, Kate ventures into the Darkness to defeat a fallen god.
