So, here are the rules for the 7-7-7 game: Go to either page 7 or 77 of your manuscript. Count down seven lines and paste the next seven lines in a post. After that, name seven more authors to come out and play.
He gave it careful consideration before answering. “You could move on to where most spirits go, the reward for living. Or you could have the freedom to roam anywhere you want. Your family won’t always be here. Think about that.” He looked beyond her, then away. A yell rose from the other room.
Nara startled. “Chloe! I need to go.”
“I know.” His smile failed to reach his eyes.
Nara zipped through the closet wall, cutting into Chloe’s room as quickly as possible, leaving the intriguing new stranger standing alone in her room. Chloe stood next to her bed, both parents kneeling before her. Mrs. Tillman looked torn, upset. But Nara’s father was determined to see it through, whatever it is.
